Information we collect and why
Using this website
This website has no accounts, online shop or contact forms, so we don’t ask you for personal information through it. When you visit, our web hosting provider automatically records basic technical details, such as your IP address, the pages you ask for, the date and time, and your browser type. We use this only to keep the website secure and working properly (our legitimate interests), and it is kept for a short time. If you accept analytics cookies, we also collect the information described under Cookies below.
Getting in touch
If you phone, message us on WhatsApp, email, contact us on social media or visit a showroom, we use the details you give us to reply and deal with your enquiry. WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram are run by Meta and have their own privacy policies.
Customers
If you buy from us or ask for a quote, we keep the details you give us, such as your name, address, phone number, email address and what you have ordered. We use them to supply your furniture, arrange delivery, take payment, look after you afterwards and meet our legal and accounting duties. Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you and meeting our legal obligations. We keep records for as long as we need them for these purposes, which for accounting records is normally up to six years.
We share information only with organisations that help us serve you, such as furniture manufacturers (to place your order), delivery companies, payment providers, and the companies that supply our IT and messaging services. We do not sell your information.
Marketing
We only send marketing by text or email if you have agreed to it or, for existing customers, where the law allows us to contact you about similar products. Every message tells you how to opt out, and you can also ask us at any time in a showroom or by phone. If you opt out, we will stop.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances;
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- object to how we use it, including for marketing;
- ask for it in a portable format, where that applies; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.
We will normally reply within one month and we don’t charge a fee. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file that a website saves on your device. We use as few as we can. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies and Google Maps on our Visit us page. Nothing optional is switched on unless you click Accept, and Decline is just as easy. You can change your mind at any time.
| Name | What it does | Set by | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| rfo-consent (kept in your browser, not a cookie) | Remembers your cookie choice so we don’t keep asking. Needed for the cookie notice to work. | This website | Up to 12 months |
| _ga and _ga_6PXTS52ZCN | Google Analytics. Helps us count visitors and see which pages and brochures are used, using statistics such as your device type and approximate location. Only set if you accept. | Up to 2 years | |
| Google Maps (various) | The maps on our Visit us page. Google can see your IP address and may set cookies when a map loads. Maps load only if you accept, or if you click Show map. | Set by Google |
Google may process information outside the UK, for example in the USA, using legal safeguards. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy and in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, although some websites may then not work as expected.
Our pages link to other services such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Google Maps. These are run by other organisations, with their own privacy and cookie policies.
Using this website
Information is a guide
We take care to keep this website accurate and up to date, but the photos, brochures, descriptions, finishes, sizes and availability shown here are a guide only and may change. Colours can look different on screen. To check what is available, and to see and feel the furniture for yourself, please visit a showroom or phone us.
Nothing here is an offer
Nothing on this website is an offer to sell. Any sale is agreed with you in a showroom or in writing, and is covered by the terms we give you at that time.
Our content
The words, photos and logos on this website belong to us or are used with permission. Brochures belong to the manufacturers who produced them. You may view and download brochures for your own personal use when choosing furniture, but please don’t copy or reuse our content for business purposes without asking us first.
Links to other websites
We link to other websites for your convenience. We don’t control them and are not responsible for what they contain.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, we are not responsible for loss arising from your use of this website or from relying on the information on it. This does not affect your legal rights as a consumer when you buy from us.
Changes and the law
We may update this page from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. The law of England and Wales applies to these terms and to your use of this website, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. This doesn’t take away any rights you have under the law where you live.
